NAVIGATION - How good is the detail?

It's truly incredible, the detail is so good you really can sit yourself down with a chart and navigate your way around. You can follow line features such as rivers, roads and railways along with a whole host of other recognisable landmarks.

AIRFIELDS - How realistic are they?

See for yourself the layout is the same as the real location allowing you to become familiar with runways, taxiways and buildings preventing any embarrassing situations on your future arrivals.

RADIO ROLE PLAY - How does it work?

Role play is achieved by linking headsets with the operator and creating various scenarios from departure to arrival along with any other in-flight situation. You will be given a flip chart prompting you to role play for various situations, which you will be flying in the virtual world.

The Flight Simulator hires out at £30 per hour or £10 for twenty minutes, this being actual on screen time.

Whether your flying flexwing or 3-axis, time on the simulator will certainly help to reduce your total training. We have been able to recreate all the flying controls associated with both types which allows you practice your inputs and thus allowing you to strengthen what you have already learnt in flight.
The control is so good you really can feel the various stages of the landing for example, from the initial roundout through to your final flare.
During the session you will be accompanied by an instructor who will be able to create various scenarios and assist if need be.
It's cheap flying that actually works, you can get so much from simulator practice, whilst its no substitute for the real thing it's pretty close.
